The South Sydney Rabbitohs have provided an update on the injury Sam Burgess suffered during the Rabbitohs 26-12 loss to the Sharks.
Scans have revealed that Burgess has injured his rib cartilage during Friday night's clash against Cronulla.
The scans have shown that there is no break in the bones.
Burgess will be monitored by Rabbitohs medical staff during the week and is a possibility to play in Saturday's fixture against the Canberra Raiders.
