Manly star Tom Trbojevic has suffered a hamstring injury during his side's clash with the Rabbitohs on Saturday.

The 22-year old missed the first two rounds of the season, starring in his return last week and was dominant against South Sydney prior to hurting his hamstring 42 minutes in.

Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler lamented the loss of his gun fullback.

"Look it's part and parcel of the game," Hasler told reporters post-match.

"I felt sorry for the young fellow. He's worked hard on the injury and he does it tough on the sideline too. So he's going to have to do it a little bit tougher for a bit longer."

There is early speculation that he could miss up to six weeks if he has suffered a grade two tear, placing him in doubt for Origin selection.

"We'll go through the scans and take it from there," Hasler said.

"Most sides in the off-season will train a number of players in different positions for moments like that.

"Brendan Elliott has worked in that position over the off-season and also a fellow like Jack [Gosiewski] can go from the back row out to centre and hold his end up.

"It makes all that work in the off-season worthwhile."

  1. When Tom started to bring the ball back he looked up and was one on one with one of the Burgess boys. Somehow he went down with hamstring problems. Funny that!

  2. If it was George he could of side stepped the great oath with ease. Hasn’t Manly got a great young fullback in the lower grades named Hopoate❔❓❔❓❔❓

  3. Ton may be out for 6 weeks but gurgess and turgess and especially young Campbell graham will be having nightmares about jake tribovic for years to come,
    Absolutely monstered them all day

  4. He’s only just coming back from acl I think it was, is very good, unfortunately the next trebovic brother is still too young, he’s also a gun.
I’d be moving Garrick to fullback and leaving Elliot at centre
