New coach Wayne Bennett has named a 24-man England squad for the Four Nations tournament, which starts this month.

England has never won the Four Nations, which this year also includes Australia, New Zealand and Scotland, but have reached two of the four finals.

They play a one-off match against France in Avignon on 22 October before Four Nations matches against New Zealand in Huddersfield on 29 October, Scotland in Coventry on 5 November and Australia at the Olympic Stadium on 13 November.

    • where is the logic in saying that? new zealand is ranked one in the world and besides foran they havn’t really lost much also the kiwis have a full nrl team as england do not ( super league just isn’t on nrl level ) and honestly i don’t see this england side beating a full strength tonga or samoa and probably fiji, they will never consistently beat australia or new zealand until more english players join the nrl

  1. With the side Australia has picked we won’t beat the Kiwis and I think we will struggle to beat this English side.

  2. Mal “no bias” Meninga will lose with O’Neil in the centres (Joey Leilua is common sense), Sam “40YO” Thaiday over Wade Graham who can play every position on the field and is about 25.
