In a major boost to the Parramatta Eels’ premiership claims, both Beau Scott and Kaysa Pritchard are preparing for remarkable comebacks ahead of the finals.

Scott and Pritchard were both thought to have suffered season-ending injuries back in Round 15 but are now thought to be a chance to play in the Eels crucial match against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday.

“They’re not far off, Beau and Kaysa,’’ Parramatta coach Brad Arthur told the Daily Telegraph.

“There’s a chance I’ll name them to play against Brisbane.

“We’re training Sunday and Monday and I’ll make a final call after those two sessions.’’

Both players were thought to require surgery that would have certainly finished their season early but instead, the pair have been relentless with their rehabilitation and now could add a much-needed boost to the club ahead pf the finals.

Scott's experience and defence would add some starch to the Eels forward pack, while Pritchard's speed and big defensive hits also give the club another option at hooker with Cameron King handling the duties well during his absence.

“We’re not going to risk them, but they’re progressing well with their contact training and I suppose it’s just a case of giving them as long as they need, to ensure they’re right when they do come back,’ said Arthur.
