Junior Kangaroos hooker Reece Robson has agreed to a four-year deal with the North Queensland Cowboys beginning in 2020.

The 21-year-old has played eight NRL games since making his debut for St George Illawarra in Round 9 last season.

But Robson found himself stuck behind Cameron McInnes at the Dragons and will look to push for a starting role at the Cowboys.

"We believe Reece Robson is one of the best young hookers in the competition," Cowboys Director of Football Peter Parr said on the club website.

"Strong dummy half play is crucial to any side and Reece’s signing gives us significant depth in an extremely important position."

  1. Great move for both player and club. Robson will likely get some minutes when Granville is injured or rested to showcase his skills. He’s a really good youngster and it’s a good pick up for the club who also got Scott Drinkwater. They pinched Two really good young players from the competition now they need a half to step up or get one in. Lachlan Lewis could be a sneaky good pick up after all he goes off contract next year and in a winning environment playing with Micheal Morgan in the halves could really improve his game.
