Christian Tuipulotu's time at the St George Illawarra Dragons may have come to an end at the end of the 2026 NRL season, but his career is set to continue.
Tuipulotu was one of 10 players to be a confirmed departure from the Red V at the end of 2026.
The only one of that group to have an NRL deal for next year is Jaydn Su'A, with all of Tyrell Sloan, Max Feagai, Damien Cook and Luciano Leilua confirmed to be Super League players in 2027, while Blake Lawrie is expected to head the same way.
Love Rugby League are now reporting Tuipulotu is set to go the same way, with the free agent understood to have held talks with the St Helens Saints, who recently confirmed current Australian Kangaroos boss Kevin Walters would be their next head coach.
It means Tuipulotu could be Walters' first signing at the successful English club, with the winger putting together a solid NRL record of 33 tries in 63 games, despite running in to constant issues with his hamstrings.
It's unclear at this stage how far advanced the negotiations are, but it's understood Tuipulotu doesn't have any NRL interest and will need to head to England to continue his career.
The 2020 debutant played the start of his career with the Sydney Roosters, before he moved to the Manly Sea Eagles. He has been at the Dragons since the start 2024, playing 30 of his 63 games.
The 186-centimetre tall winger is also a one-time Tongan representative, making his debut for the country in 2022.
It's understood St Helens are also on the verge of signing Canterbury Bulldogs halfback Sean O'Sullivan for 2027.
