Manly will be without Tom Trbojevic for the remainder of the 2019 NRL season, after suffering a torn pectoral on Saturday night in his side's loss to the Storm.

The Sea Eagles were hoping to get Trbojevic back at some stage later this season, although the club confirmed on Monday he would undergo surgery, which would rule him out.

MORE TO COME.

  1. Tragic news for the Sea Eagles and definitely one of their big guns. Imagine how the Roosters would be if James Tedesco got injured and couldn’t play again this year.
Whatever happens with Manly between now and the end of the season, their supporters should be proud of them. They have exceeded all expectations and overcome a lot of setbacks to be where they are now.

  2. Those are very sobering statistics FrankSpencer, but I was only making a comparison between the two fullbacks and how vital they are to their team. I think the Roosters will win the Premiership again this year and although Cooper Cronk is retiring, they will be in good hands with Luke Keary & Kyle Flanaghan as the halves pairing in 2020.

  3. Shocking luck for Tom, and unfortunately Manly are no hope now, really thought they could cause some damage. Hopefully Souffs Raiders or Eels can win it for the good of the game.

  4. Sorry to hear that for young Tom, bad luck and probably takes the Eagles out of contention. Still, they have had a brilliant season so good on then.

GF has been booked a Storm v Roosters rematch all season. I can’t see anyone else getting past these two. For the good of the Game, lets hope that Melbourne can win it. After losing just 4 games all season by less than 4 points, they deserve it.
