Star Bronco James Segeyaro has tested positive to a banned substance, putting his career in doubt.

The NRL released the following statement on the matter:

Broncos hooker James Segeyaro has been provisionally suspended by the NRL under the league's anti-doping policy after testing positive to a banned substance.

The NRL said on Thursday night Segeyaro had returned a positive A-sample for di-hydroxy LGD-4033, a substance banned by the NRL and the World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA), after being tested by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority in early September.

Segeyaro is prohibited from participating in any WADA-compliant sport while the provisional suspension is in place. He now has the opportunity to have his B-sample analysed.

ASADA advised the NRL of the finding on Thursday afternoon, and the NRL has spoken to Segeyaro and advised him of support services.

  1. Wow, season hasn’t finished and the muppetts are already at it. What sort of brain dead m0ron thinks you can get away with cr@p.

  2. Wasn’t this the same player last season, photographed with a couple of other players, dining with Sydney underworld gang members?

  3. Another wasted talent you won’t see him play league again unless miraculously b sample is clear as something he drank or ate gave a lgd-4033 false reading. Yeah and Trump and Scomo are making us great again

  4. Segeyaro drank his way out of South Sydney’s lower grades.
Did the same sought of thing with Penrith . As well as being involved with the criminal element. Caught with criminals, with Norman & Junior Paulo. At the same time as not training properly & not getting on with coaches.
Not surprising that a Flanagan led Cronulla was fine with him. As Flanagan was fine with performance enhancing drugs .
So this should come as no real surprise either.

  5. Typical ex Penrith player however I hope that angry crazed Souths 5/8 Walker gets tested. He thinks he is Mike Tyson. Burgess needs to be tested for perfomance drugs also, after displaying his rodger all over Facebook last year. Perhaps Viagro was in his bloodstream.

  6. Twit One ….. what happened to Souths? Murray played a blinder in that preliminary final. Ahahaha, Most overrated player of the year behind Cleary is Cam Murray.

  7. Wow … Taking big swings at Cam Murray there. You’d be the only one on here that would think so. If he was yet another player bought by the Chicken Wings, he’d be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Isn’t that right… Same as Flanagan is now probably the best half in the competition? Oh, that’s next year.

  8. He would not even make the Sydney Roosters 17, Radley played all over him in their recent semi clash, Aubusson hasn’t played almost 300 games for nothing and Cordner is a perpetual machine. Crichton is in the best form of his career and he just recently left South Flopney rabbit paddock, (they have no club) but he can only squeeze in on the bench.

So spaceman EastsOfParkes the scrawny little girl who did absolutely nothing in the final against the Raiders also has no chance of cracking a place at the Roosters.

Its people like yourself who believe the rubbish hype of the media started up by the bloke who is always wrong in A. Johns who said he would be Australia’s captain. What a load of Rubbish!!!

  9. Well watching him play & seeing his efforts for South’s , no one else would agree with you.
Looked pretty good for NSW also.
I think he’d easily make the Cluckers top 17, in front of one of their other buys , Angus Crichton for starters . Aubusson is old, so in front of him.
Doubt any other team would want either of them or Radley, in front of Murray.
It’s just your biased mind that can’t see a good player. At least I can see who are good players, no matter where they play.
