Anthony Milford is expected to sign a $4 million contract extension to stay in Brisbane after knocking back the Melbourne Storm's larger offer.

The Courier Mail is reporting that Milford has told the Storm he will not be signing with the Melbourne-based club and will instead be re-signing with the Broncos.

Melbourne had reportedly offered Milford a club-record offer of $1.2 million a season on a four-year deal.

Brisbane were forced to not only up their offer per season but also match the Storm's longer contract terms.

With the Broncos offer now being $4 million on a four-year deal, Milford is essentially giving up $800K to stay in Brisbane.

The Broncos are expected to announce the re-signing after Milford returns from his representative duties with Samoa.
