2018 Predicted Lineup

  1. Alex Johnston
  2. Dane Gagai
  3. Greg Inglis
  4. Hymel Hunt
  5. Richard Kennar
  6. Cody Walker
  7. Adam Reynolds
  8. Sam Burgess
  9. Damien Cook
  10. George Burgess
  11. John Sutton
  12. Angus Crichton

  17. Thomas Burgess

Coach: Anthony Seibold

Reserves: Dean Britt, Mark Nicholls, Robert Jennings, Tyrell Fuimoano.

The Big Question: Or maybe questions… What is the make-up of this side going to look like? Rookie coach Anthony Seibold has a few big decisions on his hands. Does GI play fullback or centre? Who deserves the number nine jersey? Does Robbie Farah deserve a spot in the 17? Is a positional switch for Sam Burgess on the cards?

Predicted Finish: 11th

  1. Hunt is no chance of starting at centre over Gagai, there wont be 2 hookers again so Farah or Cook will be with Norths and Tyrell Fuimaono will be in the 17

  2. Ha ha yeah no Gagai lol…
If Souths are serious this year they need to have a head look at changing things up..
Sutton had to go, gurgess and a lesser extent turgess need to be dropped if not performing, Inglis can’t play a season of fullback anymore.
Farah ant be on the team, cook can play 80 and offers way more the Farah, and with Souths lack of decent big men they need all 4 reserves to be forwards

    • No Gagai? What are you smoking? He is listed as a winger in the predicted team, but will play right centre this year when the team settles down.

You never cease to amaze me with your knowledge of rugby league, especially about Souths. Do you attend their training sessions? Are you a member of the club? Or do you just don’t like Souths?

Everyone’s opinion is welcomed on this site but please keep them as opinions, not statements – it makes you sound embarrassing.

      • Yeah genius I missed Gagai in his predicted team as he won’t play wing so just missed his name…
Those are my opinions and guess what I am have them, but most rabbits supporters would agree. Sutton does nothing now but has been a good servant… urgess twins aren’t playing to there ability, while Inglis is a better fullback then centre can his body handle it?? As Greg himself says he doesn’t think so, I’ll agree with him..
Coach saying will play one hooker for 80 and not carry other on bench, so same thing I’ll agree with him…
So I think you’ll find your the embarrassed one here not me. Even if I have only bad thins to say we’ll boo hoo, hear enough crap about manly from you and everyone else so suck it up…
        And no I don’t like Souths….

        • crowy3301, I have never bagged any team and I usually don’t bag anyone. I kike reading everyone’s opinions even if I don’t agree with them. I just hate people using the terms ”urgess”, ”souffs” etc because to me it shows a lack of respect.

It’s ok if you don’t like Souths.

        • Yeah but saying urgess, just means the both of them rather hen write George and Tom, it’s not about respect it’s just short hand on a phone…
I’ve actually spoke to a few mates of mine who are rabbits supporters and nearly all agrees with what I had written here. Sutton is like Brett Stewart at manly don’t want him to go but they need to retire

  3. Gday lads, it’s been ages since I’ve logged in!

I think they’re off the mark here, we’re not gonna pay Gagai 600k to put him on the wing. Not sure it’s going to happen, but I wouldn’t have Sutton in my run on side, I’d have S.Burgess & A.Chrichton in the back row, Cam Murray at lock.

    Here’s my team for 2018.

    1. Alex Johnston
    2. Richard Kennar
    3. Greg Inglis
    4. Dane Gagai
    5. Campbell Graham
    6. Cody Walker
    7. Adam Reynolds
    8. Tom Burgess
    9. Damian Cook
    10. Zane Musgrove
    11. Sam Burgess
    12. Angus Crichton
    13. Cam Murray

    14. Tyrell Fuimaono
    15. George Burgess
    16. John Sutton
    17. Dean Britt

Hopefully some of the unknowns step up, keep to see how Mark Nicholls goes, but the fact he’s in his late 20’s & has never really made a name for himself, you’ve gotta wonder. I think we’ve got a bit of depth in the outside backs with Hymel Hunt, Robert Jennings & Braiden Burns, also keen to see how young Jesse Arthars goes from the Storm.

The 2018 season is just around the corner my fellow footy tragics, here’s hoping it’s a cracking season!!!

    • I agree Reggie that looks like the team I have in my predictions. Single hooker, Sutto on the bench and Campbell and Kennar on the Wings. I think Sutto is still only playing because he has 15 games to go to become the first rabbit with 300 games.
