Warriors coach Andrew Webster has responded to the potential move of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (RTS) as speculation continues to link the Warriors winger with a switch to the Super League team Wakefield Trinity.
The coach confirmed he has been in regular dialogue with RTS, whose contract ends this year, emphasising the clarity and mutual understanding between both parties despite the uncertainty.
"I've had plenty of conversations," Webster said.
"Whichever way it goes, whether he stays or wherever he ends up, if he plays union or plays league... if he leaves, he goes with our blessing, and if there's an opportunity for him at the end of the season to stay, we'd celebrate that too.
"It will all become clearer, but we've had a really good conversation, and we're on the same page, which is always a good feeling between a player and a coach."
Beyond RTS, the Warriors face several important contract decisions this year, with players off contract beyond 2026, including Kurt Capewell and Marata Niukore, who has already been linked to the Newcastle Knights.
Niukore played down the rumours surrounding his situation when speaking to the media.
"I haven't read too much into it, to be honest," he grinned.
"It's pretty clichéd, but that stuff will sort itself and, over time, I'm pretty sure we'll knock it on the head, and hopefully that's it."
RTS, however, has remained tight-lipped on his long-term plans.
Seemingly sticking to his approach, he took on the pre-season when asked about his future.
"My head is still down in the trenches for the pre-season," he said during the Warriors' pre-season.
"Just trying to turn up each day, each week for the grind, because everyone is so fast and I have to keep up.
"Future stuff I will get to at some stage, but I'm always putting my actions on the field and do my talking from there."
For now, the Warriors remain focused on the season ahead and on continuing their winning streak, with contract talks continuing in the background as clarity around RTS's future gradually unfolds.
