Broncos coaching legend Wayne Bennett just led the team to his 496th overall win on Thursday against the Eels, a decorated career in the top chair that has spanned over 32 seasons and 800 matches.

Bennett has coached some of the NRL greats, from his days in St George Illawara, Newcastle and of course, Brisbane.

Taking over the Broncos inaugural coaching job in 1988, Bennett has marvelled his way through a host of eras and led his team to the holy grail on seven occasions, including six premierships with Brisbane and one with the Dragons - an NRL record.

Bennett reflected on his career with Fox Sports' commentator Michael Ennis during the week, recalling the players he most enjoyed coaching.
