The Titans are refusing to let Tyrone Peachey back out of his contract easily, with Daily Telegraph reporter Matt Logue understanding the Gold Coast are refusing to release the centre from his new three-year deal.

Peachey signed the initial contract back in March, although told his manager on Wednesday he would like to remain in Sydney, given he doesn't want to relocate his young family.

Panthers CEO Brian Fletcher confirmed to the Daily Telegraph the 27-year-old cannot make a return to the club, given Penrith don't have any salary cap room to fit him in.

"We can’t fit him in our cap," Fletcher confirmed.

“We’ve upgraded other players on the proviso Tyrone had signed his deal with the Gold Coast.

“We’d love to have him but he got offered such a good deal by the Gold Coast.

“Hopefully he can get picked up in Sydney and stay living where he is.”

With Peachey's desire to stay in Sydney, the Roosters, Eels, Tigers and Bulldogs could all loom as potential destinations for the NSW Blues representative.
