Dragons trioย Ben Hunt (cork), Jack de Belin (hip pointer) and Tariq Sims (cork) are all racing the clock to be fit for Origin I after injuring themselves their team's 28-2 loss to Penrith.

The three all failed to run out the game after hurting themselves during the second half, with Hunt and de Belin re-agravating injuries from previous weeks, but St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor expects them all to get up for Origin selection.

โ€œ(Hunt) got a bump in the leg and Tariq got a bump in the leg,โ€ McGregor told Fox Sports.

โ€œThey were affected but wonโ€™t be in any doubt for selection or when we play next.

โ€œJack de Belin re-injured an injury that heโ€™s already got but Iโ€™d say heโ€™d be okay too.โ€

Hunt revealed post-match that he tried to come back onto the field, but his body would not allow it.

โ€œItโ€™s not too bad, itโ€™s got a pretty bad cork in there,โ€ Hunt told Fox Sports.

โ€œI tried to free it up a bit at halftime but I just couldnโ€™t get it going.

โ€œIf I am picked (for Queensland) I think Iโ€™ll be pretty right (to play).

โ€œItโ€™s 10 or so days from now and itโ€™s only a cork so hopefully I get it right.โ€
