After finishing the 2025 NRL season in last place, the Newcastle Knights will need to rely on the next generation of young players coming through the ranks as they aim to return to the finals under Justin Holbrook and claim the first premiership since 2001.
Over the past couple of years, the likes of Cody Hopwood, Connor Votano, Fletcher Hunt, Fletcher Sharpe and Jermaine McEwen have been introduced to the NRL after successfully progressing through the club's ranks.
So...who's next?
10. Kingston Seve
One of the many new signings made by the Newcastle Knights for next season, Kingston Seve, is regarded as the next Joseph Suaalii and is seen as one of the best young cross-code athletes in rugby league and union.
Signing with the club from The Dolphins Academy, Seve is coming off an impressive campaign in this year's Cyril Connell Cup competition, in which he scored seven tries in seven matches for the Burleigh Bears and helped lead them to winning the Grand Final.
Also earning representative honours for Queensland City in the annual Under-17s City versus Country clash, he will immediately train with the first-grade squad and has impressed the club's Head of Recruitment since the age of 14 in which he attracted the interest of five different teams - Broncos, Dolphins, Rabbitohs, Titans and Tigers.

I often scratch my head and wonder why clubs that are no chance for the eight do not admit that once they have passed the half-way point of the season, and start giving their youngsters some decent game time.
