The Rugby League Players Association have revealed the five men and five women in contention for the rookie of the year awards across both competitions this year.
To be announced on Monday night, it has been revealed that Cooper Clarke, Francis Manuleleua, Oliver Pascoe, Ethan Sanders and Setu Tu are the five in contention for the men's award.
Meanwhile, Teagan Levi, Sariah Paki, Fanua Rimoni, Lucy Spain and Mercedez Taulelei-Siala are in contention for the women's award.
“The Players' Rookie of the Year award is a hugely respected award for players and fans,” said Clint Newton, CEO of the RLPA.
“The dedication and work it takes just to play a single game of elite rugby league is immense, and then to establish yourself in the competition is another hurdle altogether.
“All ten Finalists for Rookie of the Year have shown devotion to their craft, along with their skill, hard work, and determination to not just succeed but maintain consistency and standards.
“To then be voted and recognised by the players you play against as one of the best rookies in your competition is an endorsement they should all be proud of. The RLPA looks forward to announcing the two winners of our Players' Rookie of the Year next week.”
Eligibility rules state that any player who played less than five NRL men's games prior to this season, or three NRLW games, can win the award, while players can't vote for themselves or their teammates.
Mark Nawawqanitawase and Shalom Sauaso were last year's winners, while recent years have seen the likes of Lachlan Galvin, Jahream Bula and Jeremiah Nanai win.
The award was first presented in 2004 to Sonny Bill Williams.
The RLPA have a number of fan-voted awards, which will be announced as follows across Channel Nine programmes.
