Bulldogs second rower Adam Elliott will come under fire after it has been revealed he was booked in for post-season surgery the day after his drunken Mad Monday antics, as reported by The Daily Telegraph.

The 23-year old was one of several intoxicated Bulldogs pictured by The Daily Telegraph displaying a host of distasteful public acts.

The report has also revealed that winger Marcelo Montoya, who is aiding a hamstring injury, was not supposed to be drinking, and second-rower, Asipeli Fine, was named to play in the club's NSW ISP matches.

Additionally, it was said that coach Dean Pay attended the event, as well as general manager of football Gareth Holmes and ex-Bulldog Mitch Newton, who assisted with security, amongst several other members of the coaching staff.

On top of the Bulldogs' club imposed sanctions, the NRL is expected to issue its own penalties in the fallout.

“It’s embarrassing for the players first of all, it’s embarrassing for their club and it’s embarrassing for the game," NRL CEO Todd Greenberg told The Daily Telegraph.

“I just do not understand the fascination with footballers who want to take their clothes off … it’s idiotic.”
