We are officially a quarter of the way through the 2026 NRL season, and the run to the State of Origin window is underway.
There have been surprises a plenty - both positive and negative.
Two coaches being sacked by this stage of the season has been the biggest shock, but with only one winless team left and three wins separating 2nd and 16th place on the table, the season feels as wide open as any in recent times.
The Penrith Panthers might be back to their dominant ways, but with a shake up of the rugby league landscape, and all of last year's top four sitting outside the top eight, there are plenty of opportunities for the season to continue shaking out in the coming months.
Here is every team's grade for the opening quarter of the season.
Wests Tigers
Grade: A+
Current record: 3rd place, 4 wins, 2 losses, 1 bye, 10 points, + 63
Benji Marshall and his Wests Tigers outfit are fully deserving of their A+ result over the first quarter of the campaign.
While many wrote the Tigers in as a chance to play finals footy this year in what is the second year of Marshall's full-blown rebuild of the Concord-based outfit, their start to the year has been somewhat unbelievable.
Four wins from six games, and their losses coming against South Sydney by four points and to the Brisbane Broncos by a point, leaves the joint-venture in very good stead moving forward.
There are potentially questions around Jarome Luai's form, but this is a side going full steam ahead, and they should throw their finals duck off the back this year.
