Frank Pritchard has laughed off suggestions Bulldogs enforcer and former teammate David Klemmer bit him on the face during the Eels win over the Bulldogs.

Audio from broadcaster Foxsports has picked up a conversation between Pritchard and one of the referees.

The referee is clearly heard repeating back Pritchard's claim: “He bit your face?”

But when asked by the referee if he'd like to make an official allegation of biting, Pritchard can be heard saying no.

Klemmer and Pritchard were teammates for a number of seasons at the Bulldogs.

"No he didn't," Pritchard said when quizzed after the match about the incident.

"It was just a joke between Klemmer and I. I said 'Be careful, he's biting' to the ref. That's it.

The ref said 'Do you want to make a complaint?' I said 'No'."
