The literal last thing Kevin Walters and Queensland needed post their Origin Two humbling was an injury to a star player.

Despite all the questions re the make up of their squad pre-series, it was always a given that Ponga would be fullback with Munster at six.

Everything else could and would fall into place but the two most dangerous players were a given.

Unfortunately, for those north of the Tweed they're now entering the series decider on Friday night sans their star fullback.

Despite the horror news, all is not lost for Queensland.

There are plenty of options available to Walters and co due to the ridiculous amount of utility value in the squad.

We take a look at those options below:

Cameron Munster:

The obvious choice looks to be to move the Storm star to one and slot debutant Corey Norman at six.

Minimal disruption, it allows Norman to play at his most natural position and Munster really made a name for himself in the role.

Reports yesterday had Munster training at fullback but considering the Maroons made zero attempts to hide this fact, I suspect foul play.

Munster is the best number six in the game and to move arguably the states best player out of position makes little sense.

Munster may be the best option in terms of what he offers at one but the fact is no one offers at six what he does.

Would be a huge risk for a player who hasn't played the role in a long time.

Despite the risk, this seems to be the way they're preparing.

Michael Morgan:

If I were naming the side I would have announced Morgan at fullback.

Gagai to the centres with Feldt on the wing would have facilitated this move with ease.

Morgan, much like Munster, made his name at fullback. Unlike Munster he has played fullback fairly recently.

He was also convincingly outplayed in game two at centre. I was expecting a shift to the bench with the Gagai shift.

I'd be looking to have Morgan play 80 minutes and a shift to the back makes sense.

It does open up the question of who fills in at centre. You'd imagine this would see Moses play at centre with Norman the new utility option from the bench.

Minimal risk here. If anything it brings Morgan into the game more. This is the way I'd be playing this.

Moses Mbye:

The more I consider it, the more I believe this is the way Queensland will go.

Mbye could very well make his run on Origin debut at fullback with Norman playing as the bench utility.

The Tigers' number one hasn't torn the competition apart at fullback but at least he's a full-time number one, the only such player on this list.

This would allow Norman to ease into his Origin debut while leaving Munster at six and leaving Morgan as the only player out of position.

Mbye's positioning and ability in the air may be of huge benefit here as Maloney and co are sure to pepper whoever replaces Ponga.

Perhaps a mid game switch is on the cards but Mbye probably makes the most sense.

I think that's how they'll run out, with Mbye at one.

Corey Norman:

The least likely option for mine would be a straight swap Ponga for Norman.

Given his ball-playing ability, this isn't the craziest option but I just can't see it happening.

Norman has plenty of time at fullback during his career but really presents as a half.

The only positive here would be it would minimize change. Literal straight swap allowing Munster, Morgan and Mbye to continue their roles from games one and two.

It wouldn't shock me if Walters named Norman at one but I can't see him playing there.

Perhaps a late switch with Munster with Norman in the halves.

Very unlikely.

Who do you believe will fill the role for Queensland next Wednesday night?

Has Walters missed a trick by not picking a first choice fullback off the bat?

Is moving Munster worth the risk?

Let us know below.

I'd play Morgan at one with Mbye at centre but I'm expecting Mbye to fill the spot with Norman into the utility role.
