With over 100 players completing NRL.com’s Players’ Poll for 2018 prior to the Origin period, the following lists are representative of the thoughts of those who know the game the best.

Brisbane was voted the preferred place for players, with 20% of the players saying they would head to the Broncos if they left their current team.

Leichhardt Oval was dubbed their favourite Sydney ground with 32% of voting, ahead of Panthers Stadium on 17%.

It turns out the Friday 6pm time slot is the player’s favourite at 30%, perhaps because they get the rest of the weekend to do what as they wish? The Saturday 3pm slot came in second with 20%.

The players gave their tick of approval for the NRL to bring back the Nine’s competition, which is currently deliberated by the league.

The players were fairly divided when it came to picking a location of a possible expansion team. Perth (27%) and Brisbane (26%) were the two most common answers.
