Hull FC has clarified whether they have signed North Queensland Cowboys winger Jaxson Paulo.
Reports first circulated by Fox Sports that Paulo was set to sign with the Super League club and would join after the current season finishes.
According to Love Rugby League, it's understood the club is not interested in signing Paulo in 2027.
Hull FC are 'happy' with their current backline depth and don't intend to add more depth in the outside backs.
Lewis Martin and Harvey Barron are still under contract with Hull, and they recently signed Sydney Roosters centre Junior Pauga.
Jordan Swann was also signed by Hull FC, who have played for Wynnum-Manly in the Queensland Cup this season.
The club also agreed to a major six-figure transfer in signing Davy Litten from Wakefield Trinity.
Highly rated English prospect Connor Barley was signed by the club, which rules out any chance of signing Paulo.
According to Love Rugby League, Paulo is interested in joining the Super League after spending his NRL career across four clubs by the age of 26.
This season, Paulo has not played for the Cowboys, and in 2025 he only had three NRL appearances.
During the 2025 Pacific Championships, the Cowboys winger made one appearance for Samoa.
Paulo's limited appearances would likely create issues with visa eligibility.
Cowboys teammate John Bateman is set to return to the Bradford Bulls in 2027, and although there is speculation that the Leigh Leopards were keen for Kai O'Donnell to return, he was not listed on the Cowboys' departing players list.
Roosters half Daly Cherry-Evans is set to join the club after the finals campaign is over, signing a 12-month deal with Hull FC, while the club has also recruited former NRL players Bailey Hodgson, who will join from the Leopards, and Joshua Coric, who will join from the Wynnum-Manly side in the Queensland Cup.
After John Cartwright stepped down from the coaching role in April, the club will miss the finals, as they are currently 12th on the Super League ladder.
Steve McNamara is expected to take over as the head coach in 2027.
Hull FC will play the Leeds Rhinos in their final game this season.
The North Queensland Cowboys will play the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday night in an elimination final.
