Former NRL half and utility Moses Mbye has announced his retirement from rugby league 13 years after making his NRL debut.
Mbye has over 260 first-grade games experience across both the NRL and Super League, including stints at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Wests Tigers, St George Illawarra Dragons and St. Helens.
The Noosa junior burst onto the scene at Belmore, recording almost 100 games for the Bulldogs over five seasons before making the switch to Concord in 2018, where he captained the Tigers from 2019 to 2020.
He made the switch to Wollongong in 2022 and played for the Red V in a utility role for a season-and-a-half before being released early to go play in England.
Mbye returned to Australia following a healthy three-season stint at St Helens, playing for the Ipswich Jets in the QLD Cup during 2026.
Not only was he given co-captaincy during his time at the Jets, but he also worked in a program and development manager role, pushing standards and excellence on and off the field.
The 33-year-old playmaker retired midway through the year following a season-ending syndesmosis diagnosis, bringing the curtain down on an illustrious career.

Mbye's elite versatility throughout his career was on show when he was called-up for a State of Origin debut in 2019, playing all three games of the series, starting the decider in the centre position.
In his rookie NRL season in 2014, Mbye stepped into the hooker role for the Grand Final against a South Sydney juggernaut for captain Michael Ennis, who was out injured with two separate fractures in his foot.
In 65 minutes, on the biggest stage of all, Mbye recorded 45 tackles, missing two on the first weekend of October.
The ultimate Swiss Army knife, Mbye has played almost every position in the back-line and spine throughout his playing career.
Mbye went to his social media to express his gratitude for a brilliant NRL career.
"Officially retired. Forever in debt to the game!!" Mbye said on Instagram.
"What a ride it's been…thanks to everyone who contributed to the memories.
"Thanks for the friendships we built and the opportunities presented. Rugby league truly is the greatest game of all. Can't wait to ride the next roller coaster."
