Sydney Roosters centre Tommy Talau has ruled out a move to the Super League, despite being linked with a potential switch to England and newly recruited Daly Cherry-Evans' Hull FC.

Hull FC are currently looking to strengthen their outside backs ahead of the 2027 season and are understood to be searching for two new centres.

The club recently secured the landmark signing of Cherry-Evans on a one-year deal, creating further speculation on whether his Roosters teammate would join him.

However, those links have now been shut down, with sources telling Love Rugby League the 26-year-old is not entertaining a move to the Super League at this stage.

Hull FC have also denied holding any discussions with Talau regarding a potential move to the club.

Talau joined the Roosters ahead of the 2026 season after departing Manly and has made three NRL appearances for the club so far, featuring on the wing. He is off contract at the end of the season, meaning his future remains uncertain despite the Super League links being dismissed.

While Talau will not be making the move to Hull, the Super League club appears close to securing another Australian centre.

Wynnum-Manly Seagulls centre Jordan Swann is understood to be on the verge of finalising a deal with Hull FC, with the Queensland Cup prospect emerging as one of the club's preferred targets.

Swann made his Queensland Cup debut this year and has impressed during his first season at the level, scoring eight tries in 11 appearances.

Hull are still expected to pursue another centre even if Swann's deal is completed, meaning their search for reinforcements in the position is far from over.
