Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs forward Aiden Tolman injured his ankle in the loss to South Sydney on Good Friday and is likely to be sidelined for up to six weeks.

Head coach Dean Pay has named Adam Elliott to replace Tolman in his Round 5 lineup.

Tolman's injury could also end the rumours of him moving club's mid-season.

It had been reported that Tolman was being pursued by multiple clubs including the Gold Coast Titans and Cronulla Sharks for this season.

That interest now seems to be on hold while Tolman recovers on the sidelines and could mean the rival clubs look elsewhere to fill their needs.
