Canterbury forward Sauaso Sue has torn his ACL and will have surgery to repair the injury, which will see him miss the remainder of the 2019 season.

Sue sustained the injury during his side's win over the Knights on Friday, with scans confirming the injury over the weekend.

The 27-year-old is now expected to be on the sidelines for the next nine months.

Sue has played 11 games for the Dogs in 2019 since joining the club after six years with the Tigers.
