The revamped All Stars event will see the New Zealand Maoris side clash with the Australian Indigenous side.

The match between to the two star-studded lineups will take place at AAMI Park on February 15.

Sydney Roosters centre Latrell Mitchell has chosen to take part in the All Stars game with the blessing of coach Trent Robinson, foregoing the club's World Club Challenge match against the Wigan Warriors.

The match also highlights the return of Ben Barba with the North Queensland Cowboys recruit playing his first match on Australian soil since the 2014 NRL Grand Final.

  1. Hopefully Fergo pulls out injured.
Don’t want him to cop an injury this close to the start of the season especially in a nothing game like this.
Seriously what a pointless waste of time.

  2. These players don’t think it’s a waste of time and they’re the ones with an entire season ahead of them but hey, if it’s not your thing you don’t have to watch it i guess.

  3. Great to see that the Roosters are happy to oblige the commitment and wishes of their players in allowing Latrell Mitchell the honour of representing his ancestry people instead of playing in the prestigious World Club Challenge in England. If he stays at the Sydney Roosters the Sydney Roosters he will no doubt have an opportunity to pick up that very rare particular trophy in the future.
