Cronulla youngster Briton Nikora has been hit with a grade one dangerous throw charge for a tackle on Villiame Kikau in the 13th minute of his side's 24-20 win over the Panthers on Thursday.

Given Nikora has loading due to a previous incident, he'll pick up 112 points with an early guilty plea, which will see him miss his side's clash with Brisbane next Saturday night.

If the Sharks challenge and fail, Nikora will receive 150 points instead, but still just miss the one game.

Cronulla have until Monday to decide whether or not to fight the charge.
