Valentine Holmes will have scans in the morning to assess the extent of the damage of a slight hamstring strain.

Sustained while attempting to score a try in the second half of the match, Holmes felt a slight strain in his right hamstring.

Shane Flanagan said that while the injury was not as bad as initially expected, his medical staff will keep a close eye on the fullback.

โ€œHe just felt his hamstring grab a little bit when he jumped to score that try,โ€ Flanagan told www.sharks.com.au.

โ€œWhen he got back into the sheds, it wasnโ€™t as bad as first thought but itโ€™s not good.โ€

Flanagan confirmed that Holmes would go for scans tomorrow to assess the extent of the damage before focus turns to the World Club Challenge.

โ€œHeโ€™ll have scans tomorrow morning so we know exactly whatโ€™s wrong.โ€
