  1. Keep an eye out this season for the emergence of Poasa Faamausili this season. He is coming along really nicely and will make the NRL throughout the year. Great to see our Lachlan Lam make the trip and Sitili Tupouniua. Lindsay Collins will have a big season as will Nat Butcher. Great to see the Roosters looking after their junior development players. Even if they all do not get a game, to be included on this trip is something special.💪🐔👍

  2. Collins: Broncos
    Butcher: Souths
    2 Young fellas from NZ…..

Hardly junior development players mate when other clubs have nurtured them b4 the chooks swoop in

  3. What are your thoughts of Uncle Benny at Redfern Shadow?? Pretty sure you weren’t a fan in the past of the old fella

  4. Who said anything about born and bred Tribalism local juniors. Not me I said nothing about those players being local juniors. The Roosters have a Junior Development Program. Lets define what that actually means.

Junior means young or younger people.
Development means the process of developing or being developed. (Growth, Progress)
Program means a set of related measures or activities with a particular long-term aim.

Now that a few dimwits have become educated by the Marvellous WoodChook Rooster Education Centre what a Junior Development Programme is.

You just might now understand that it is not all about local juniors, it is about running an academy like Gridiron teams do, which invites players from all over the world who know that if they come to the Roosters Academy or Junior Development Program, then they are halfway to becoming an NRL superstar.

Our brilliant coaching team over the years has allowed many players that have come through our Junior Development Program into NRL Grand Final winners, Here are 22 players who participated in our Junior Development Programe (Sydney Roosters Academy} that debut for the Roosters played for no other club in first grade and won a PREMIERSHIP or two.
Hegarty, Minichiello, Bonetti, Cusack, Ricketson, Fletcher, Lomu, Crocker, Flannery, Tupou, Kenny-Dowall, Tuivasa-Sheck , Pearce, Friend, Guerra, Cordner, Frank-Paul Nuuausala, Aubusson, Latrell Mitchell, Manu, Isaac Liu, Radley, Napa, Matterson

I could name a hundred who came to the Roosters Junior Development programme who debut for thwe Roosters but either played in a grand final for the Mighty Chooks or Semi- Finals, But I need to have my sponge bath from nurse Ratchet. 😆🤣😁😂 Roosters are “Pride Of The League” 💪🐔👍 Developing young kids from all over the World spreading the Rugby League Gospel.

  5. Souffths are spreading the Gospel of Rugby League no where only in their own little scabby areas of Botany, Zetland and a few other dumps of souff sydney

  6. Hello redv firstly saints are putting a top 8 team in place as a child my parents were saints fans but i was a bunny since 3 years old and still am to this day.bennett always had great past bronco teams and a pretty good saints team so i believe he had it easy.i believe he is a very good coach and will do wonders at souths i am tickled pink that bennett is at redfern.happy belated new year redv13 maybe you missed me lol.

  7. I’m just wondering if the Roosters will be able to beat the Wigan Warriors.
Wigan have won the World Cup Challenge more times than anyone else, except for the Storm, but they were stripped of their 2010 win.
The other thing is, I’m wondering if we’ll see the same Judas Cronk this year as anything other than an on field coach. Even after surgery, a broken scapula takes up to 12 months to heal , with continued rehabilitation/physiotherapy. So do we see that shoulder holding up for the season. Must be a question mark over the Roosters season, because let’s face it, they’re pretty ordinary without him.

  8. Why would manu and warea Hargreaves choose this stupid game instead of repping there culture absolutely disgraceful

  9. Why would manu and warea Hargreaves choose this stupid game instead of repping there culture in the all star game absolutely disgraceful

  10. Forget it RedV13.. Woodchucks can’t handle the fact that his chickens only get players well & truly after they are developed as players. He Some how thinks the Chickens should get lots of credit for buying players & sticking them in lower grades, before they play first grade.
Then he says , this stuff about tribalism in league is in the past. So it’s fine to just buy your team. Rather than actually bring through your own juniors. However, he is more tribal than anyone on here & can’t see a meter outside of the tri coloured coup.

  11. Woodduck goes on about this develop thing like their doing the league a great service, the bottom line here is that if clubs don’t nuture kids from the start their would be no 16, 17 year old kids for Easts to develop.

Get that one in ya woodduck/ Russ, stop trying to hookwink all on this site with your insane logic, no one is buying into it.

  12. Typical Penrith fanatic playing the FOOL once more. Like souffths Penrith fans are massive on home grown locally born tribal local juniors situation but unlike souffths the Penrith district is home to one of the largest junior rugby league nurseries in the world with 24 junior clubs and over 8,500 registered players. Yet they have won only 2 premierships in 52 years.

The bottom line is this system fails. Penrith have only reached the semis 14 times in 52 tears. Why Penrith have been unable to win 3 to 5 premierships in a row with the so called brilliant local talent and the massive amount of juniors they possess proves beyond any doubt that it has nothing to do with locally born and bred juniors. 8500 players that Penrith have in their juniors are not coached by Penrith they have a very tiny amount that make the Harold Matthews (U16s) and SG Ball (U18s) sides. under 6’s to under 14’s are coached by their local teams like Minchinbury, Glenmore Park Windsor St Mary’s etc.etc.etc.. Nothing to do with Penrith unless they make the rep sides.

Your version of development by Penrith is exaggerated as usual. However the Roosters have not one Penrith local junior in their club. However when we won the 2002 premiership we had Brad Fittler who walked away from the super League traitors when they back stabbed the Rugby League Hierarchy who gave them birth and was not poached while in 2013 we had Jennings who Penrith sacked.💪🐔👍…🐓😂😁🤣😆😂😁🤣😆 Any other garbage you would like to dribble about❓

  13. Yes Biff, I forgot we beat Melbourne with 12 men on Grand Final day. They must be “pretty ordinary without him”.😆🤣🤣😂😁🤣😆🤣😁😂😁🤣😆🤣😁😂😁🤣😆🤣😁😂😁🤣🤣

Wigan has won the most with 4 followed by the Sydney Roosters 3, Leeds 3, Bradford 3 and Melbourne 3. Trent Robinson is a huge fan of this competition, especially after coaching in the English comp and he will have the Roosters primed up for this contest. I feel confident the Roosters can win this prestigious cup.

  14. WoodChook, hahaha, let’s wait and see what happens……it’s a long year ahead yet. But just to correct you, Melbourne won the World Cup Challenge four times (1 more than the Roosters) but were stripped of the 2010 win due to salary cap issues – you know, that issue that’s never raised with the Roosters.
Btw, read a story relating to the 66 off field infringements committed by players since the beginning of the 2015 season to date.
Interestingly, the second greatest number of offending players came from the Roosters. More badly behaved than Souths, Bulldogs, etc, etc, etc.
    Fancy that!

Fancy that! You could have knocked me over with a chook feather!

  16. @ WhyWouldYou, excellent question.
    Here’s my question to you.
Why would they willingly leave one of their best players behind? Very odd!
    Spin doctor at work?

  17. Listen you bonehead woodduck, Souths for many years went through financial horror, had no money and would have folded without the support from Souths juniors, it was our juniors coming through that kept our team alive, every good player we had saw clubs like Easts and Manly buy them straight away, in fact Souths supplied many players to Easts which resulted in their success and if it wasn’t for Russell Crowe and Peter homes a court we probably would still be struggling,

Our 2014 winning team at at least 6 juniors playing , how many Easts, f.all maybe one if lucky, your develop thing is an excuse for all your years of robbing clubs best juniors and the sooner Easts are relocated the better, this i believe is not far off happening, so stick your statistics where it hurts woodduck / Russ your fooling no one.

  18. Funny, I didn’t say anything about Penrith , Penrith juniors up above? You must love them that you have to talk about great Penrith juniors Fittler, Jennings. Well Chooks couldn’t have won a game without buying them & all the other great players from other areas, let alone win any premierships. A Premiership last year without Keary, Tedesco, Cronk, Tupou , Hargreaves etc, etc. I don’t think so. Bottom of the table without buying in most of the squad , lower grades. Bringing in juniors from elsewhere, means they can actually field a team in junior grades. There’s no other way. Pretty sad!!!
As for some tripe about junior areas like Minchinbury having nothing to do with Penrith? They are all under the Penrith system, just like at any other club that has juniors. Cronulla, St.George, Parramatta, Wests, Bulldogs. They all work much the same way. They play in different clubs, to hopefully be picked to at for the junior rep teams . Just like other areas who have their own juniors.
You’re actually saying that the very few juniors that the Chooks would have from say the Clovelly Crocodiles , have nothing to do with Easts at all? So they’re not Chook juniors somehow? That means the Chooks have Zero Juniors!!!!!! What other rubbish can you come up with?
Finals in every single age group & grade speaks for a junior system , that you could only dream about.
Just about Penrith though, as you love the subject so much.
They send out coaches & gear to work in other areas. Such as throughout the Western Division. It’s a pity other clubs don’t work to help in actual Junior development . Not only to help themselves!
The Roosters couldn’t even stay in Wyong. How pathetic are they!!!
    👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  19. Whats that got to do with Melbourne correctly being stripped of a trophy for cheating. 3 times they have won it not 4. Get over it Biff.

  20. Hey Timber Le Coq…
Do you even have any idea of who actually comes from the Chooks area? You talk about Mark Minichello as if he’s a junior? When he came from Leppington.
Another true Chooks local hey ?
Don’t bother trying to argue what you can’t argue. Like the support & development of country football. That the Chooks do none of!!
Bring up subjects , that have Zero to do with the post someone adds. As you really have no argument for what they’ve written.
You just go off into some random tangents. Just as you add some crap about Chooks memberships, below stories that have zero to do with your Chook poop.
The Roosters should be called the Gooses. As you’d fit right in as their most bias, one eyed , blinkered supporter. But hey that would be original. Rather than just using the French emblem & full outfit. Why don’t they just go with La Marseillaise as their theme song?

  21. Get off the gear, I can’t wait until we demolish your stain this year. Your only salty because the roosters are much more successful team then the joke you support. How’s the 5 year plan going? Haha we win premierships, panthers don’t even look like winning one anytime soon

  22. I’m only replying to your alter ego Woodchucks post , Front2Back.
Just about every other club can be proud of any grade the Chooks happen to win. As that’s where the players there come from, Every Other Club.. They’re only wins for the Chooks in the colours they’re wearing at the time.
You’ll sign back in in a moment as RustyCrow, Woodworm or someone else & laugh at your own oh so
    Witty comment.

  23. Ok clown of the divide🤡🤡🤡🤡 Again I have to repeat myself really stupid people like yourself just can’t grasp the idea that we are not talking about local juniors. We are talking about who developed the superstar player and it certainly was not the suburban coach as a child. Tell me which clubs developed Anthony Minichello, Beetson signed him to the Roosters as a 15 year old because nobody picked him in the rep teams. Minichellio took a video highlights disc to show Beetson and the Roosters signed him up immediately. Wests never developed him, it was the local junior team Leppington that helped him reach a phase to be potentially an NRL player but by the astute Junior Roosters Program or for simpletons like you who need it explained like the Sydney Roosters Academay and with their Brilliant Coaching techniques Turned him into an NRL SUPERSTAR. Not Wests. Not Canterbury but Easts. Wake up to yourself.

The same goes for his brother and a heap of others who in fact did not even have a NRL team in the district that they lived. They join the Roosters Junior development program because of its brilliant reputation alone and that they will almost certainly become NRL SUPERSTARS.

Tell me COTGD (Clown of the Great Divide) I don’t recall an NRL team from Taree District willing to train Mitchell and Cordner Mitchell actually had a trial match with Newcastle 170 kms south of Old Bar but they picked Brock Lamb in his place and rejected Latrell Mitchell in a one off trial. They joined the program and have been developed by Easts as 15 and 16 year old’s. Friend joined the program from Noosa Pirates which by the way has no NRL team as a 15 year old and Aubusson living near Ballina who do not have an NRL club and was also developed by the Roosters junior development program in Sydney. Not a Ballina NRL team you nut🥜🥜🥜er

And (Clown of the Great Divide) I’m not bothered to go through every single player but those examples should be enough to show up your full blown idiocy😁🤣😆😂😆🤣😁

  24. Is that all you got Clown Of The Great Divide. Just admit the facts I presented has you looking rather stupid. Here is a dozen internet eggs to hide the embarrassment of you ridiculous comments. Talk about a FOOL.😂😆🤣🤣 however AS PROMISIED splatter these upon your silly dial clown.🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚

  25. Clown Of The Divide is Penrith Junior crazy, He thinks every team needs Penrith juniors to be great.😁😂😆🤣

    EastOfDivide February 2, 2019 at 9:05 am
Burns was bought from Penrith at the same time Robert Jennings. Came all the way through the Penrith system & played in a Grand Final in Penrith’s under twenties.

    EastOfDivide February 5, 2019 at 1:25 am
Pity the Cowboys didn’t keep Coote now isn’t it. Will it be Te Maire Martin back to fullback?
When the Cowboys are short of a back , they usually look to Penrith for help. Coote & Te Maire Martin are two examples of that. So maybe they will try & convince Penrith to release Aetkins or Edwards this time? Both just recently re signed with Penrith, but this doesn’t seem to matter any more. Aetkins is a good fullback from the ISP & has played centre also. He should be promoted to the Centres in first grade at Penrith & dump Whare.
If they chose to look elsewhere, Will Kennedy at Cronulla is a good fullback from their ISP side. Really from Bathurst , so west of Penrith. The Cowboys can kind of still think they are buying a Penrith product with him.

This idiot really believes to be successful everybody needs Penrith Juniors. Yet they have only won two premierships in 52 years.🤣😆😂😁😂😆🤣 What a NUT🥜🥜TER

  26. EastOfDivide, wasn’t it only a couple of weeks ago that one of them claimed Cronk as a Roosters Legend?
I laughed til I almost cried.
Everyone knows his legend status was born at the Storm – under a real coach.
You won’t win mate – they’re completely brainwashed – all of his personalities.
I hear what you’re saying though, but they can’t see the big picture, they’re tricolour blinded.

  27. Because a player may only ever get one opportunity to win this tournament challenge in a life time. To win this prize you first must win the NRL Premiership. Many greats over the years have never won a premiership but to win a premiership then win this to be known as being a member of the greatest club football team on Earth is very unique and rare opportunity.

The heritage game will probably be played every year for many years and if your a great at a young age like Manu, then its his right to believe he can represent that heritage team next year. But he cannot guarantee he will get another crack at this game again in his life. Will Tuivasa-Shreck ever get to play another world Club Challenge. I would put my money on never, if he continues his career at the Warriors.💪🐔👍

  28. Whats that got to do with Melbourne correctly being stripped of a trophy for cheating. 3 times they have won it not 4. 🏆🏆🏆……Get over it Biff.💪🐔👍—

  29. Of coarse he is a Melbourne Legend Biff, but what he did at the Roosters and guide them around the Preliminary Final & Grand final field with one arm dangling, has elevated Cronk to Rooster legend material. in just one season this great ex Melbourne legend has shown the Roosters fans and ALL League fans what LEGENDS are made of and what they can achieve. If a team of the 21st century was picked tomorrow for the best players in Melbourne and Sydney Roosters teams. Then Cooper Cronk is picked without any doubt in both teams.💪🐔👍

Besides Biff it was up to you you would not have him in your Melbourne team of the Century, Didn’t yesterday you labelled this legend a Judas and you hate him. Time to grow up mate. Cronk in one season at the Roosters showed us he is a legend.✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔

  30. Biff When a Premiership, Minor Premiership or World Club Challenge have been stripped, it means that they are disqualified for cheating and the event has been wiped from the history books. The event is deemed null and void. Melbourne have won Three Premierships and three World Challenge cups not 5 premierships and 4 World Club Challenge Cups. The Club has also as you would know has had 2 Minor Premiership stripped from them also for cheating🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱🎱

  31. The Bottom Line Is Souths Ancient History 1908-1971 won 20 premierships under different rules that are played today. Souffths won 16 premierships with the ridiculous unlimited tackle rule which ended at the end of the 1966 season. All they did back then was run from dummy half🤣😆😂😁 and then they won their other four comps under the ancient 4 tackle rule. 😁😂😆🤣😆😂😁😂😆🤣😆😂😁 How funny are these facts, its equivalent to somebody driving around in a T Model Ford. Soufffths have won 20 premierships under rules that do not even resemble Rugby League today 😁😂😆🤣🎱

Shadow you drop kick, that reminds me drop kick field goals use to be 2 points but they finally changed that in 1971 and from 1972 onwards was the foundation of our modern day game with the introduction of the 6 tackle rule.

Shadow the bottom line is Soufffths have one Comp in the modern era, you know the one Russell Crowe bought in 2014, does that ring a BELL🤣😆😂😁💪🐔👍 and the Roosters have won 5 modern premierships.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS……….Sydney Roosters have 5 real Premierships Souths in our SHADOW with 😁😂😆🤣….1 (one)

  32. ..🤣😆😆😁😂😆🤣😆😂😁….💪🐔👍….SYDNEY ROOSTERS 🏆🐓🏆🐓🏆🐓🏆🐓🏆🐓…..5 vs SOUFFFS 🏆🐇….1

    Hows our shadow😂😆🤣😁🤣😆😂

  33. A Rooster Legend in a Sydney Rooster jersey in a premiership winning grand final playing for Easts not in a Melbourne jersey means he is a Sydney Roosters Legend. Biff I’ve been laughing louder than you ever since Cronk in his red white and blue jumper guided us to premiership glory. Remember this date 30 Sep 2018. A Rooster legend was born.🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓 We acknowledge he was already a Melbourne Legend but he is now a duel legend

  34. You’re probably right Biff. I had a good laugh at him commenting on a South’s junior ( he said ) , Burns. Who had resigned for South’s. Saying about them re signing a failed South’s junior. When Burns had come from Penrith. When you reply to this rubbish he’s written, he just goes off into some other repeated diatribe.
He also loves to say it’s others that are signing in under different names. As if that’s some sort of a cover for himself?
I know he’s brainwashed with Tri Coloured crap. Can’t see anything that doesn’t include the Chooks Pen.
It seems every story has to include something about Chickens or he’ll add it.

  35. Wow , you sure showed me. Describing how each player of a group came from other areas, not Chicken juniors.
Yep, I sure have been shown now…
    Woodchips,
What do you call a player who loves the Tri Colours of Red, Blue, White. Lives in the Eastern Suburbs & plays for the Chickens Jersey Flegg Team?
    A Novocastrian!!!
    👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  36. You claimed that the players the Roosters developed were developed by other clubs. You claim there is a stack of new NRL clubs from Noosa Heads, Taree, Old Bar, Ballina, Leppington etc.etc etc. but their is not. The Roosters developed those players into NRL Super Stars.

I did show you and I have explained it to you five times but unfortunately your mindset is not open to facts. Well for people that do not even know that the Roosters are Red White and Blue, just shows your mind is twisted and back to front by describing them as in your words “Red, Blue, White” I’d prefer not to waste my time.

However I answered your questions clearly that the Roosters developed Mark and Anthony Minichello and the other 22 players that debut for the Roosters and then went onto win premierships with Sydney Chooks in 2002, 2013 and 2018. I suppose you think Penrith developed the Roosters junior development players..

See your entire problem is you ask the questions I give the truthful answer/fact, but you don’t like the truth. Argue all you like to your black and blue in the face. But your incorrect every time. 😂😆🤣😁🤣😆😂😮
