Cronulla has announced their playing venues for the next two seasons, while PointsBet Stadium is closed due to renovations at the Leagues Club next door.

Sharks CEO Richard Munro announced the news on Wednesday, saying the club would play 11 home games at Jubilee Stadium in Kogarah, while also taking one game to the Sunshine Coast.

“While there were many ideas put forward, Netstrata Jubilee Stadium emerged as the clear preference of our stakeholders,” Munro told sharks.com.au.

“Jubilee Stadium is only about 10 kms up the road from PointsBet Stadium and it is accessible by both road and rail.

“So it is a convenient option for all Sharks supporters and commercial partners.

“We will play more games at Kogarah than any other sporting team next year and we intend making it our own fortress.

“The players are supportive of the move and now we are focussed on delivering a great season for our fans.”

Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson was thrilled with the announcement, saying it's brilliant news for the area.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that the Cronulla Sharks have put their faith in the Sunshine Coast to stage one of their NRL premiership home games here in 2020 and 2021,” Jamieson told the club's website.

“We’d love to see plenty of Sharks fans head to the Sunshine Coast next year for what will be another terrific event.”

  2. Oh Phoney, I understand your frustration….thrown out of the competition … gain re-entry on the promise to do better, when in fact you’ve gone backwards… just ONE flag in all that time, no club house, no home ground to call your own … not even a cheer girl to celebrate those lousy 6 points you scored in your 30 – 6 spanking at your last outing by the mighty Chooks.
    glory, glory pell/snot vermin

  3. Yes Phone.crabs is a dead rabbit walking, this clown with fellow South clowns Twentyone, Shadow/penso and Chalky will all go under cover when they are eliminated by Manly. Then like last off season after they recover from depresion around Christmas, will start their annual salary propaganda attack on the Roosters.
