News moves very quickly in rugby league.
Yesterday, reports of Storm young gun Jonah Pezet's future dropped and it immediately set a number of moves into motion.
The unprecedented deal will see him join the Eels for 2026 before moving to the Broncos on a longer-term deal.
Many dominos will fall on the back of this news but none are bigger, or carry bigger hype, that Broncos rookie Coby Black.
For those who aren't aware of the 19 year-old prodigy, go back and watch his match winning performance in this year's Under 19s State of Origin contest.
He was sure to be in hot demand prior to this move but the fact that Pezet and Ezra Mam look to have the halves spots locked up in Brisbane for the long-term, his potential signing just became very real.
Here are SEVEN potential landing spots for Brisbane's Coby Black:
7. Canberra Raiders
I thought the Raiders had their halfback in Jamal Fogarty. The fact they let him go obviously says otherwise.
I thought they had their replacement in Ethan Sanders but the fact they were in for Pezet obviously says otherwise, again.
Coby Black pairing with Ethan Strange would create the most exciting, young halves pairing in the competition.
If Stuart is willing to push forward with Strange and Sanders, he's obviously not against having two young halves.
Fogarty's departure looks to have freed up cap space for a move. Right now I have Black over Sanders, although you never really know until they play regular First Grade.
Black moving to the capital under one of the game's most tenured coaches looks a real chance. A Weekes, Strange, Black, Pattie spine is one that certainly fits the "Green Machine" nickname.

If he goes to the eels he’s playing 6 until Moses retires. Moses is their guy they’re not moving him even though he’d likely be happy to. Knights are another option. Conflicting reports about where all the spine fits in Smith rumoured to be signed as a 9 then Holbrook said he’s a 7 then Brown says he’s happy to play either 6 or 7. I’m not going to say the rumours about Ponga will play into it because it’s just pathetic anyone believes it at this point. If all the “good mail” around Ponga was true he would of already played for the broncos went back to the cowboys played for the dolphins, roosters had a few stints in rugby and been announced as Perth’s first signing
