South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess has been charged with grade one dangerous contact charge following Saturday afternoon’s clash with the Panthers.

The incident occurred in the second minute of the match during a tackle on Panthers forward Reagan Campbell-Gillard.

If Burgess takes the early guilty plea, he will not miss any matches.

If the club decides to fight the charge and lose, Burgess will be suspended for one match.
