Young Sharks hooker Blayke Brailey has re-signed with the club for the next three years, according to a report by the Sydney Morning Herald.

Brailey received offers from the Bulldogs and Tigers but has ultimately recommitted to Cronulla to remain with brother Jayden.

Jayden Brailey has impressed over the opening six games of the season as the Sharks' starting hooker, with Blayke displaying promising signs as his deputy.

It was thought that Blayke could seek a starting gig elsewhere, however, that has been put to bed after reportedly extending his stay at Cronulla.

The brothers are now locked into playing together for at least the next 18 months. But rival clubs are expected to go after Jayden now, who is off contract in 2020.

"I'm 22 and he's 20 and we're both establishing ourselves in the game. There's plenty of time up our sleeves. Whether it's next year or the year after I'm not too sure when it's going to be, but at some stage we're going to have to split obviously," Jayden said in March.

"The club at some stage this year might put together a bit of a plan for both of us. They've got our best interests at heart. We've been here since we were young boys. They care about us and we love the club. Neither of us want to leave, but it's just the fact where we are.

"It might happen in a few years time, but at the moment we're loving playing together."
