More than four months removed from November 1, there are still 136 NRL currently Top 30 contracted NRL players without a club to call home for 2027.

The Perth Bears still have more than half of their inaugural Top 30 to fill, and most clubs are in need of players, whether re-signed or otherwise, to complete their look and feel for 2027.

When you run the rule over the list of players who remain off-contract at the end of 2026, there is still a mountain of talent available.

Taking into account the likely value to a rival club - age, talent and potential included (for example, Cody Walker has been left out as he approaches the end of his career) - here are the Top 20 players to remain without a contract for 2027.

Siua Wong was originally named in this list, however, it has since emerged he has re-signed with the Roosters during the off-season.

10. Connor Tracey (Canterbury Bulldogs)

The Bulldogs fullback is off-contract at the end of 2026, and could well be forced or squeezed out.

Not due to the players behind him, the kids coming through or a lack of form, but because the Bulldogs don't actually know what their best spine looks like it.

In every example, Tracey features, but with Mitchell Woods to break into first grade in the halves at some point, and constant questions marks around whether Matt Burton or Stephen Crichton could play fullback long-term, Tracey's position at the club may become untenable.

A utility himself who has locked down Canterbury's number one jumper, that is clearly his best position and where he wants to play. There isn't a great need for fullbacks around the competition, but plenty of clubs could still make a play for Tracey heading into 2027 without worrying about whether it turns into a bad move.

He is more than good enough to handle his own at NRL level, and has proven it during his time in the blue and white at Belmore.
