We are officially a quarter of the way through the 2026 NRL season, and the run to the State of Origin window is underway.
There have been surprises a plenty - both positive and negative.
Two coaches being sacked by this stage of the season has been the biggest shock, but with only one winless team left and three wins separating 2nd and 16th place on the table, the season feels as wide open as any in recent times.
The Penrith Panthers might be back to their dominant ways, but with a shake up of the rugby league landscape, and all of last year's top four sitting outside the top eight, there are plenty of opportunities for the season to continue shaking out in the coming months.
Here is every team's grade for the opening quarter of the season.
Sydney Roosters
Grade: B+
Current record: 5th place, 4 wins, 2 losses, 1 bye, 10 points, - 9
It would be fair to say the jury was well and truly out on the Roosters coming into the 2026 season, with questions around their halves, James Tedesco's long-term prospects and depth in the engine room.
But Tedesco has been in fine form, Daly Cherry-Evans and Sam Walker have started to gel, and the forwards have held their own.
That has taken the Roosters to a four and two record from their six games, but given they lost two of their first three, their form is impressive.
They have run up 33, 34 and 38 points in their last three games, and things are clicking nicely for Trent Robinson's side.
Defence and discipline are still the questions, but anything less than a top-four finish looks a fail from here.
Best player: James Tedesco
Zero Tackle MVP leader: James Tedesco (8th)
Prediction: 4th
