With the news that Andrew McCullough is the latest player to suffer a season ending injury, we thought we'd try to compile a team of players who he'll be joining on the sidelines with still five rounds go before finals.
The team comprises players who have played this season and suffered an injury which will see them miss the remainder of the year. This means players like Brett Stewart, Steve Matai and Isaac De Gois were not considered due to not playing in 2017.
The first choice for this infamous team is South Sydney Rabbitohs fullback Greg Inglis who suffered an ACL injury way back in Round 1.
Queensland Origin and Australian Kangaroos teammate Johnathan Thurston is also a lock for the team, with the North Queensland Cowboys superstar ruled out for the season after helping the Maroons to an inspirational victory against the Blues in Game 2.
In terms of teams, the Cowboys, Eels, Storm and Titans look to have been hit the hardest by season ending injuries.
Joining Thurston on the team for the Cowboys is Origin stalwart Matthew Scott and young prop Patrick Kaufusi.
While the Eels have three of their top 17 in the team with the versatile Clinton Gutherson recently joining Kaysa Pritchard and Beau Scott on the sidelines until next season.
Check out the full team below and let us know if we've missed anyone!
