NRL media personality and player agent Braith Anasta has been the first person to be impacted by the NRL's new media regulations.
Under new NRL rules which will come into force in line with the new TV deal, conflicts of interest in the broadcast media attached to the game will be blocked.
Anasta is one of a host of figures in the sport to hold two roles.
The former star player is the host of NRL 360 on Fox Sports and a regular either colour commentator or panel host on game days for the Pay-TV network.
Anasta has regularly come under fire for his coverage of his own clients, most notably Cameron Munster and Lachlan Ilias.
It has now been reported by News Corp that he has handed in his accreditation as a player agent as his company Searoo Sports, meaning he will continue his media roles with Fox Sports into the future.
At this stage, Anasta is still listed on the official list of player agents in the sport, but that may change in the coming days if the change is being processed.
Under the new rules, the conflict of interest clause will also impact anyone also employed at a club, with Perth Bears board member James Bracey and Canterbury Bulldogs director of football Phil Gould likely to be impacted among others.
