  1. Strong side IMO – I think this team can beat the Kangaroos IMO

    1. Jordan Kahu
    2. David Fusitu’a (Left wing)
    3. Solomone Kata
    4. Shaun Kenny-Dowell
    5. Jordan Rapana
    6. Te Maire Martin
    7. Shaun Johnson
    8. Jesse Bromich (Caption)
    9. Issac Luke
    10. Simon Mannering
    11. Tohu Harris
    12. Kevin Proctor
    13. Jason Taumalolo

    14. Adam Blair
    15. Jared Waerea-Hagreaves
    16. Martin Taupau
    17. Joseph Tapine
    18. Greg Eastwood

    • they won’t pick martin just yet he didnt even get picked in the nrl after his injury i think they will run leuluai there and lewis brown as the utility player. i also think they won’t pick Fusitu’a they will probably pick beale or push harris to centre for manu ma’u but still very strong team

        • I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Mannering play prop, if his best position is second row put him there.

I’m a big fan of Fusitu’a and wish he could come to Manly, in my opinion he is a better player than Beale but Beale is more safer and more experience.

    • he played for them this year aswell but kata isnt the only player there has been plenty of players do this and with the new rules we will probably see this more often

  2. Yea that’s got to be the side. Exept Mannering to second row JWH to start at prob. Tohu harris to move to bench for Eastwood and Leu Leui om bench for Tapine

  3. I know that Kieran Forun does not have a team and has not played in a very long time, but just curious – would he be “allowed” to be named in the squad? Or are there some sort of “NRL” rules around internationals?

    • wouldn’t he have to be a registered player in either NRL, SL, NSWRL, QRL or any other legitimate competition, and that would be just on insurance grounds, nothing to do with his alleged shady dealings or his shady mates.

      • pretty sure if they wanted to go down that path he could register for any club in NZ and play, that club would just have to realese him to play warriors next year if there is a deal and the nrl approves it,in saying that im not sure if international whatever would have to rubber stamp it

  4. 1. Kahu
    2. Watene-Zelezniak
    3. Kata
    4. SKD
    5. Rapana
    6. Leuluai
    7. Johnson
    8. Bromwich (c)
    9. Luke
    10. Waera-Hagreaves
    11. Proctor
    12. Mannering
    13. Taumalolo

    14. Brown
    15. Blair
    16. Taupau
    17. Harris

    • I like your side but Lewis Brown shouldn’t be in the squad and this is coming from a Manly fan. He’s to small and can’t tackle, I would rather put in Joseph Tapine IMO.

    • Yeah this would be the side I would go with. As for Lewis Brown, he is an average player but I would keep him there as a utility. Elijah Taylor would’ve been a better pick though

  5. 1. Kahu
    2. DWZ
    3. Fusion
    4. SKD
    5. Rapana
    6. Martin
    7. Johnson
    8. Bromwich
    9. Luke
    10. JWH
    11. Proctor
    12. Mannering
    13. Taumalolo

    14. Leuleui
    15. Harris
    16. Blair
    17. Eastwood

    18. Ma’u

Think JFH should be in after his amazing season. Thought him over Tapine or possibly Taupau. Beale shouldn’t even be in the team. I’d rather Hoffman Vatuvei Winterstein or even better Ponga.

  6. 1. Ponga/RTS/Abbey
    6. Martin/K Niko/Lolohea
    7. Johnson/Benji/Leuluai/Hingano
    9. Luke/Cherrington/Levi/Roache/ZDC

These are the only guys I want to see in the spine for the kiwis. No more centers or wingers with no ball playing ability at fullback and no second rowers at five eighth.
Every year they need to have an emerging kiwis camp the same way NSW and QLD have. This is why we dont that many classy playmakers available. Get Stacey Jones and even Benji to start a playmakers camp every year for promising young kiwi spine members.
If Johnson goes down we have no depth at all.

  7. 1 Jordan Kahu
    2 Dallain Watene-Zelezniak
    3 Solomona Kata
    4 Shaun Kenny-Dewell
    5 Jordan Rapana
6 Thomas Leiluia (I’d pick Martin)
    7 Shaun Johnson
    8 Jesse Bromwich (captain)
    9 Isaac Luke (vice captain)
    10 Jared Waerea-Hargreaves
    11 Tohu Harris
    12 Simon Mannering
    13 Jason Taumalolo

    14 Manu Ma’u
    15 Adam Blair
    16 Martin Taupau
    17 Kevin Proctor

4 forwards on the bench Isaac Luke to play 80minutes

  8. Im an Aussie but im more worried about what NZ will do next year in the world cup when they have players back from Injury. IMO id hate to see this team next year.

    1. Roger Tuivasa-Shek
    2. Dallain Watene-Zelezniak
    3. Peta Hiku
    4. Dean Whare
    5. Jordan Rapana
    6. Kieran Foran
    7. Shaun Johnson
    8. Jesse Bromwhich
    9. Isaac Luke
    10. JWH
    11. Kevin Proctor
    12. Tohu Harris
    13. Jason Taumalolo

    14. Kodi Nikorima
    15. Manu Ma’u
    16. Alex Glenn
    17. Ben Matulino

and then theres the rest of the squad.
