Mitchell Moses is uncertain where he will be playing his football next year and is happy to deal with the problem when it arises.

Moses has been one of Parramatta's best players in their opening four games, however, he refused to commit to the club beyond the 2019 season.

"If I try to look into that stuff too much it does affect your game," Moses told the Sydney Morning Herald.

"I have left it fully up to my management. I've said to them whenever a deal comes up or something comes up, you let me know. Other than that I am playing footy for Parra and I have my head down."

When queried about whether the Eels would be his first choice, Moses weaved around the question.

"I’ve left it up to my management," he said.

"I want to fully focus on Parramatta. We weren’t good last year at all. My full focus this year is to get Parramatta back to the top. My management is looking after all the contract stuff. Whenever that pops up, they will come to me."

Moses claims his dominant performances have been helped by those around him.

"My team is putting me in a good position to do those things," Moses said.

"Everyone that is coming in is doing a job for us. Our back five is laying a platform for me and the forwards are providing a platform for me to kick on the front foot.

That sort of thing is a credit to all the other players. They’re doing a great job."

Moses is not the only Parramatta player who is out of contract at the end of the season, with players such as Clint Gutherson and Tim Mannah also falling under that category.

The Eels play Canberra on Sunday night at GIO Stadium.

  1. I no, I no Moses wants a premiership and rep honours and he knows he can achieve those things at the Roosters. There lining up from all over the planet. 😂🤣😆😁😂🤣🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🎱

  2. Zero tackle just keeps rehashing the same stories over and over.
The club and players know what’s going with negotiations and it kills the media that there are no more leaks from the club.
That’s why they keep guessing what’s happening and printing the same baseless stories.
Moses isn’t going anywhere and neither is King Guth.

  3. Firstly, it’s good to hear from you again Billy.
I saw the “Wise Men” together again on the other post.
For mine, I’m liking this start to the season, and (for the most part) enjoying seeing Parra throw the ball around again, although there’s been a few early in the tackle count/off our defensive line “wildcard” passes that wouldn’t pass the “odds in your favour” test.
There’s a lot to like about our rookies/inexperienced guys, and the progression from the young, but more experienced guys (Gutho, Moses, Alvaro etc) to stable/core FG players.
I’m not getting too excited, because is more of a solid foundation to build from, but if I had to identify just 1 thing that made this rebuild feel different/better it would be that we haven’t focused on a single “gun” player (a Hayne, Foran etc) to build around.

  4. thanks Mighty, I finally found the brightest star in the sky and followed it to meet up with the other wise men. The other kind of football has taken all my energies thus far and haven’t been engaged as I otherwise would be plus the disappointment of 2018 was too much.
To me the, biggest factor in the early season renaissance is the absence of distracting members of the squad, who while decent players in their own right, didn’t take things serious enough. I’m talking Norman, Edwards as the key figures in that. Couple that with young guys who are used to winning and who appear to be driven to be better, then the focus is on getting better on the paddock not off it.
I am liking what I see from MM so far, maturity and calmness that wasn’t exhibited last year. A lot of people forget he is only 22 and maybe, just maybe, he has grown up. Whether it be Brown or Salmon in the halves with him, they both are calm and collected, can defend and will build their repertoire as time goes on. Mahoney is growing in confidence each week, and the king is back to close to his best. Along with Fergo and Sivo and JP, they have shown desire, enthusiasm and courage which was sadly missing last year.
If they can keep the progress going, it may not end in glory, but it won’t end in bitter disappointment.
