The Melbourne Storm have hit the track for the final time in Melbourne before they fly to Sydney in preparation for Sunday's 2016 NRL Grand Final.

Melbourne hosted an open training session for fans and members on Wednesday morning, with at least 600-700 people attending the session.

Dale Finucane was a notable absentee, although the Storm are very confident the lock will front up and take the field in the decider.

The Storm made the trip to Sydney on Wednesday afternoon and will front up for the big media conference at the Opera house on Thursday.

Here are some photos from today's open training session.
