The Storm have re-signed premiership forward Felise Kaufusi, extending his contract by two years, with an option for a further two after the 2020 season.

The 26-year-old signed the deal on Monday, which will see him remain at the club for his fifth and sixth seasons in Storm colours.

Kaufusi made his debut for Melbourne in round one, 2015, and has played 73 games for the Storm, scoring 17 tries.

Last season was Kaufusi's best, playing all 27 games for the Storm in their premiership year, featuring for the Kangaroos in the World Cup and was a member for the Maroons as their 18th man during the State of Origin series.

"We are very happy to have re-signed Felise for a further two seasons, he is an important part of our retention strategy," Melbourne's Football Director Frank Ponissi told melbournestorm.com.au.

"Felise has worked very hard to cement himself in the starting side, the challenge now for Felise and our next generation group of players is to continue to apply the same work ethic to help the Club strive for continued success.

"We are excited to have Felise, his wife Bek and daughter Atarah remain in Melbourne."
