South Sydney hooker Robbie Farah will be granted a release from the Rabbitohs on Wednesday, to allow him to re-sign with the Wests Tigers, and finish his career where it all started.

The Daily Telegraph believe the Tigers will announce the Farah signing today.

It follows on from conversations between Farah and Wests coach Ivan Cleary, with Cleary going to the Tigers' board earlier in the week and proposing the club look at bringing Farah back.

Farah played 247 games for the Tigers between 2003-2016, and scored 61 tries during his time at Leichhardt Oval.

The 34-year-old has only played twice for the Rabbioths this season, given Damien Cook's stellar year to date.

It is believed Tigers fans could see Farah back in their own colours when they host the Titans in round 16.
