Gold Coast forward Ryan James has been charged by the NRL's match review committee and will miss at least one game after an incident in Sunday's win over the Sea Eagles.

The incident occured in the 42nd minute, as James was charged with dangerous contact to the head-neck of Lachlan Croker.

An early plea would see James miss one week, although a failed challenge would see the 26-year-old miss the next two games.

The Titans face the Panthers in round six, before heading to North Queensland to face the Cowboys the following week.

James is reportedly battling an injury problem, which will likely see him take the guilty plea.

Manly forward Jack Gosiewski was charged with a careless high tackle on Titan Dale Copley, and can accept a financial sanction for the incident.
