UPDATE: The Wests Tigers have now confirmed that Jamal Idris suffered an ACL tear to his knee and will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2017 season.

A day after helping the Wests Tigers launch the Indigenous Round for the NRL, news has broken that Jamal Idris has ruptured his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.

Foxsports journalist Zac Bailey tweeted news of the injury, with reports that he suffered the season-ending injury at training on Saturday.

Idris previously ruptured his ACL while playing for the Penrith Panthers in 2015. He was then released by the club at the end of the season and spent 2016 away from rugby league.
