Jack Bostock has shut down links to rival clubs, declaring his desire to remain with the Dolphins beyond his current deal.

Bostock is contracted to the Dolphins until the end of the 2027 season, meaning he can begin negotiating with rival clubs from November 1 this year.

However, the 23-year-old could have a new deal sorted before he even reaches that point, revealing that discussions over an extension with the Dolphins have already begun.

“I've been talking to the Dolphins here with the club trying to sort out something, so I'm sure we'll be sorting that out soon,” he told the NewsWire.

Bostock's future has attracted attention following reports last week linking him with the Newcastle Knights.

Newcastle are currently battling to retain star centre Bradman Best, and should Best depart the club, Bostock has been identified as a potential replacement.

The Dolphins centre, however, appears firmly focused on remaining in Redcliffe.

“I don't really listen to that stuff. I try to stay off my phone with all that footy stuff,” he told the NewsWire.

“I'm happy to be on my phone on socials and talking to mates and stuff, but I try to stay off all the footy stuff and just don't read into any of it.

“For sure, 100 per cent (my preference is to stay).”

Bostock has enjoyed a remarkable run of form this season, currently sitting on a 13-game winning streak.

The streak stretches across both club and representative football, with Bostock yet to lose a game he has played in this year, including his State of Origin debut for the NSW Blues.

The Dolphins are also preparing for their first finals campaign since entering the NRL, having secured a top-four spot with an impressive season.

They will finish their regular season in the Gold Coast on Friday night when they take on the Titans before turning their attention to their maiden finals campaign.

Bostock's emergence has only increased his value to the Dolphins, who face a significant retention challenge with a long list of players set to hit the open market from November.

Among those coming off contract after 2027 are Selwyn Cobbo, Herbie Farnworth, John Fineanganofo, Kulikefu Finefeuiaki, Tom Flegler, Trai Fuller, Felise Kaufusi, Morgan Knowles, Connelly Lemuelu, Tevita Naufahu, LJ Nonu, Elijah Rasmussen, Sebastian Su'a and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.

With the Dolphins facing salary cap concerns to retain a number of their key players before November 1, securing Bostock beyond 2027 would be an important piece of business for the club.
