Penrith Panthers can confirm Chris Grevsmuhl has been granted an immediate release from his contract with the club in order to deal with issues of a personal nature.
The club has agreed to the release on compassionate grounds, to give Grevsmuhl the time away from the game that he requires.
Grevsmuhl played 14 NRL games for the Panthers after joining the club from South Sydney Rabbitohs midway through the 2016 season.
