Greg Inglis has gone from hero to villain in a matter of hours after being caught drink driving while speeding.
Earlier today, Inglis was named as the Kangaroos captainย for Australia's upcoming Tests against Tonga and New Zealand.
But by the afternoon, his day had taken a drastic turn.
The Rabbitohs star was stopped at Lithgow by police who say he was speeding on the Great Western Highway at 2.15pm on Monday.
The police gave Inglis a roadside breath test which returned a positive result and aย blood alcohol reading of 0.085 according to the Courier Mail.
Inglis was charged with mid-range drink driving and exceeding the speed limitย and is due to appear in Lithgow Local Court on November 22.
