Gallen set to return to rep footy

Former NSW captain Paul Gallen is set to return to representative footy and will take part the City-Country match next week.

Gallen was approached by City coach Brad Fittler week to play in the match.

The 35-year-old was asked to play to act as a mentor to the younger City players in the team.

The match on May 7 will be the final City-County Origin match.

The announcement follows the news on Wednesday the Bulldogs will not make his players available for the game.
