One of the Queensland Cup's best undiscovered talented Chris Woodbridge is on the radar of multiple NRL clubs, and will likely have a deal in place for 2027.
A star back who can play in the number one or on the wing, Woodbridge has put together an incredible highlight reel playing for the Western Clydsdales this year.
The Toowoomba-based club have no direct feed into the NRL, but Woodbridge's performances in a team who have won just five games all year and sit second last on the table ahead of only the PNG Hunters have not gone unnoticed.
Playing all 20 games for the club in his first season at this level, he has scored 16 tries and assisted another 21, coming up wuth a remarkable 37 direct try involvements for a team who are only averaging a tick over 20 points per game.
To go with all that, Woodbridge has 12 line breaks, 48 tackle busts, has touched the football 1089 times, and is averaging 73 metres per game while running the club's kicking game from fullback where he only has one game under 100 metres off the boot.
His running game has also had some big days, with five games north of 100, including a 224-metre effort in Round 9 against the Tweed Seagulls.
In short, Woodbridge has it all, coming up with a staggering five try assists against the Ipswich Jets in Round 11, and a try-scoring hat-trick against the Tweed Seagulls in the two standout performances of his year.
Woodbridge, who has gone unrecognised until now, is understood to have four offers from NRL clubs on the table per a News Corp report.
It's believed all four offers are only train and and trial deals, but have the potential to progress into more once the new season starts.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs and Gold Coast Titans have been named as club's interested in signing the talent at this stage, while the other two remain unnamed.
Exactly what Woodbridge's best position long-term is - whether that be at the back, or in the number six jumper - remains to be seen, and a new club could well form a view on that throughout the pre-season training block he now almost seems certain to be part of.
